By August 2022, it was clear that the "pandemic" was becoming "endemic" and that Covid would take it's place among the other viruses that make humans ill, but it would be less lethal and more tolerable if contracted. The Pandemic Art Series needed to end. The culmination of my efforts was an art show at the Dank Haus Gallery in Chicago sponsored by the Chicago Creative Coalition called "The Art of the Pandemic."
Shortly thereafter, "The Things of the Earth" series began, with the continuation of the stories held inside each rock and each piece of driftwood that finds its way to the shoreline of Lake Michigan. I've begun to liberally add other objects such as shells and "sea glass," the wonderfully worn bits of glass found on the beach.
“The earth has a story to tell. It's hidden in the silence of rock, wood and other natural objects. Placing them in assemblage is a way to reveal an Earth story.”
